# Fan workflow

> A role-based view of fan account setup and how fan affiliation fits into MOGL's broader athlete, brand, and university ecosystem.

Fan workflows are lighter than athlete, brand, agent, or university workflows. The signup updates note that fan registration removed location collection and lets fans affiliate with more than one university. Fan affiliation can support audience development, university context, and future fan-facing product experiences.

## 1. Sign up

Fan signup should capture basic identity and university affiliation without requiring the more detailed profile fields needed for athletes, agents, or brands.

## 2. Complete preferences and affiliations

Fans can select more than one affiliated university during signup. Today, editing associated universities may require back-office support, so full self-service fan affiliation management may not be available.

## 3. Discover relevant experiences

Fans are not the primary API integration audience for posting deals or applying to deals. Their role is closer to discovery, affiliation, and engagement around athletes/universities.

## 4. Respect role boundaries

Fans should not see brand deal creation, athlete application, agent roster, or university-admin compliance workflows as actions they can perform. If a fan later becomes an athlete, brand user, or agent, route them through the appropriate role-specific onboarding path.
